One of the scariest movies for me was 'Play Misty for me". I can still hear the sound of those scissors. You've mentioned a couple of movies I've never heard of - I'll have to look them up.

I've never seen Play Misty For Me. I might check it out, providing the scissors thing doesn't mean it's a slashing and dismemberment film. I don't have much tolerance for those.

'...a slashing and dismemberment film'

It isn't. The scissors are used to cut someone's hair.

I like Yentl and haven't seen it in a long time but now I feel like I should watch it again.

I don't like Steven Segal either.

1) Loved Amadeus and Local Hero - Field of Dreams not so much.

5) Off the top of my head "Your Mother is a hamster and your Father smells of Elderberries" (Or was it the other way round?)

"I fart in your general direction"

"Now, go away or I shall taunt you again"

"Come 'ere I'll bite yer leg off"

I laughed so much at this film I nearly did myself a mischief!

7) *Sings with you* "Good mornin' Good MORNIN', we've gabbed the whole night through...." LOVE this film.

12) Very wise - it can be a dreadful shock when the lights go up!

23) Oh yes - Rosemary's Baby! Those Castavets *shivers*

I was also terrified during the first "Aliens" film. And the "Exorcist" just about did my head in!

"Your Mother is a hamster and your Father smells of Elderberries"
That's the one. Plenty of good, usable quotes from that film.
"Run away! Run away!"
"Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government." (Useful in so many political discussions.)
"This is supposed to be a happy occasion. Let's not bicker and argue over who killed who." (Ditto.)
"Ni!"

Good meme and great answers! I'm going to have a go at this myself. I also loved Amadeus but I haven't seen the other two films.

"Field of Dreams - Definitely"
That's my girl!

"Yentl? OMG!"
I know, I know. But I had to be honest.

"Is that 8 1/2 WEEKS?"
You're probably thinking of 9 1/2 Weeks. 8 1/2 is the Fellini thing from the 60s.

"You didn't like Seven?"
It wasn't bad as a horror film, but I listed it as a movie I 'wished I hadn't seen.' Too many nasty, persistent images.

"What about The Sixth Sense?"
I finally rented it, after being pushed by everyone on here to see it. Yes, pretty good, but I didn't find it all that scary.

1. Loved Field of Dreams. Never saw the other two.
6. You know all the words, but do you sing them? Can you do a Barbra Streisand impression? She is one of my favourite singers. :)
8. I haven't heard of these, but will check them out. I'm always up for something new and not mainstream.
18. Did you like The Duchess?
20. Star Wars was my favourite movie for years. I didn't care for the last three Lucas made. I guess I only saw the first of the three, but I didn't see the humour that the original three contained.
23. Walking after dark in new snow still creeps me out!!
24. Interesting title. lol

" Loved Field of Dreams. Never saw the other two."
The others have nothing to do with baseball, but I think you'd like them.

"You know all the words, but do you sing them?"
Not if anyone else is around.
"Can you do a Barbra Streisand impression?"
Good lord, no.

"Did you like The Duchess?"
It's not on my Top 10 list, but not bad.

"24. Interesting title."
The Big Snit is a 10 minute cartoon from the National Film Board. I've never laughed so hard at anything in my life. I think you can still find it online, if you're interested.

This is probably the coolest answer to that question.

Ohmygosh, Local Hero too? I knew there was a reason I keep reading your blog.

I can't say how many times I saw that movie because my girlfriend wrote a paper on it. :O

Love that movie. I could pretty much cut and paste your answers. Except for number 23? The Last Man on Earth, Vincent Price. I don't know why, that one gave me nightmares.
